Greed ends in
Grabbing more,
Having more
But at the expense
Of cruelty and hate,
And the horror
Of losing love,
Losing peace.
Without love and peace,
Is life worth living?
A ride all alone,
Rich yet forlorn?
May all give up greed,
Give up 'want' and
Just fulfil their need.
All humanity is the same,
A common species,
Of a single creed,
Why choose to be
A greedy breed?
May each one of us
Choose contentment.
